X ZONE IT SRL (VAT RO48893724, Reg. Com. J52/908/2023) was founded in Giurgiu, Romania on 4 October 2023 by a small group of network and systems engineers who’d collectively spent a decade running infrastructure for game studios, streaming platforms, and enterprise SaaS.
We’d seen what good hosting looks like — and what bad hosting costs you. So we built a European hosting provider where the people answering your tickets are the same people who own the network you sit on. Where the published price is the renewal price. Where there’s no salesperson layer between you and the rack.
Today we run 5,000+ servers across 13 European POPs for everyone from indie studios to Fortune 500 platforms — all under EU jurisdiction, GDPR-compliant, with data residency you can put in a contract. The team has grown — but the on-call rotation hasn’t changed.
The on-call engineering team
Every ticket reaches an engineer who can ssh into the box. No tier-1 outsourcing. Below are the leads of each platform discipline — also the people you reach during a P1.
11 years carrier networking; previously NOC lead at a tier-1 EU transit provider. Owns AS60982, BGP policy, IX peering at DE-CIX, AMS-IX, LINX.
9 years SRE; ex-game-studio infra lead running 200k concurrent player sessions. Owns the on-call rotation and SLA reporting.
13 years datacenter ops; ISO 27001 internal auditor. Owns hardware lifecycle, custom server builds, colocation deployments in Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
7 years customer SRE; runs a small team of EU-based engineers covering 24/7 chat and ticketing. Median first-response 7 minutes.
What we won’t do.
No price-on-renewal. The rate you sign up at is the rate you’ll pay in year five.
No tier-1 outsourcing. Every ticket is read by an engineer who can actually ssh into the box.
No fake unlimited. When we say "unmetered" we mean it — and we publish the port speed.
No lock-in. Take your data with you. We even pay the egress for your last 30 days.
No bullshit SLA. Credits apply automatically. You don’t have to ask, and you don’t have to argue.
