VPS Price by Location: What Bucharest, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Vienna Cost

22 Sept 2026 · Mario Marin

The plan price and the datacentre price are two different numbers, and we show you both. Here is every figure for all five locations, on hourly, monthly and annual billing.

We get the same question every week: why does the same VPS cost €4 in one of our locations and €5.50 in another? The short answer is that the plan price and the datacentre price are two separate numbers, and we show you both. The long answer is this post, with every figure for every location, so you can pick a city on price with no surprises at checkout.

Where you can build a VPS with us today

Five countries are live in the location picker right now: Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. If a location is in the picker, we have capacity there and we can build your machine. When a location fills up it disappears until we add a node, which is what happened to Austria before the Vienna node came back online.

  • Romania — Bucharest. Our home market and the most capacity we own anywhere. This is the base price: no location fee at all.
  • Poland — Warsaw. The cheapest of the non-Romanian locations.
  • Netherlands — Amsterdam. Same location fee as Warsaw.
  • Germany — Frankfurt. The most expensive tier, along with Vienna.
  • Austria — Vienna. Priced identically to Frankfurt, plan for plan.

How the price is built

Every VPS price on our site is two components:

  1. The plan price. What the shape costs — RAM, vCPU, disk. This is the number on the hourly VPS page.
  2. The location fee. A per-month figure that depends only on which datacentre you pick. Romania is zero. The other four are between €1 and €20 per month depending on the size of the machine.

That is the whole model. There is no setup fee on any VPS plan, no separate bandwidth bill, and no traffic quota to blow through — none of our VPS plans carry a monthly transfer allowance you can exceed.

Hourly VPS: monthly price by location

All six shapes are orderable in all five locations. Prices in euro, per month:

PlanRAMvCPUDiskBucharestWarsawAmsterdamFrankfurtVienna
VPS I KVM2 GB120 GB€4.00€5.00€5.00€5.50€5.50
VPS II KVM4 GB240 GB€6.00€8.00€8.00€9.00€9.00
VPS III KVM8 GB260 GB€10.00€14.00€14.00€16.00€16.00
VPS IV KVM16 GB480 GB€16.00€24.00€24.00€26.00€26.00
VPS V KVM24 GB6100 GB€30.00€42.00€42.00€44.00€44.00
VPS VI KVM32 GB8120 GB€58.00€74.00€74.00€78.00€78.00

Read the gap between the first and last columns as what geography costs you. On a VPS I it is €1.50 a month. On a VPS VI it is €20. If your workload does not care where it runs, Bucharest is the cheapest way to run it.

The same thing per hour

Every plan in the table above can be billed by the hour instead of by the month. The location fee spreads across 720 hours, so it lands on the hourly rate too:

PlanBucharestWarsawAmsterdamFrankfurtVienna
VPS I KVM€0.0056/hr€0.0070/hr€0.0070/hr€0.0077/hr€0.0077/hr
VPS II KVM€0.0083/hr€0.0111/hr€0.0111/hr€0.0125/hr€0.0125/hr
VPS III KVM€0.0139/hr€0.0195/hr€0.0195/hr€0.0222/hr€0.0222/hr
VPS IV KVM€0.0222/hr€0.0333/hr€0.0333/hr€0.0361/hr€0.0361/hr
VPS V KVM€0.0417/hr€0.0584/hr€0.0584/hr€0.0611/hr€0.0611/hr
VPS VI KVM€0.0806/hr€0.1028/hr€0.1028/hr€0.1084/hr€0.1084/hr

A useful consequence: testing a location costs pennies. Two hours of a VPS I in Frankfurt to run your own latency and routing tests is about €0.02. That is a better way to choose a datacentre than reading anyone's marketing page, including ours — see our break-even write-up for how the hourly and monthly paths compare over a full month.

Streaming VPS by location

Our streaming plans are monthly only — there is no hourly rate on them — and the location fee is the same across all four non-Romanian locations:

PlanRAMvCPUDiskBucharestWarsaw · Amsterdam · Frankfurt · Vienna
VPS I KVM Streaming2 GB120 GB€9.99€12.99
VPS II KVM Streaming4 GB240 GB€18.99€23.99
VPS III KVM Streaming8 GB460 GB€34.99€44.99
VPS IV KVM Streaming16 GB680 GB€59.99€76.99
VPS V KVM Streaming24 GB8100 GB€89.99€109.99
VPS VI KVM Streaming32 GB12120 GB€139.99€161.99

Streaming plans carry more vCPU than the hourly plans at the same memory size from the third shape up, and they run without a per-machine bandwidth ceiling. That is the difference you are paying for if you are pushing video rather than serving HTTP.

Quarterly and annual

Two details worth knowing before you pick a term:

  • Annual saves 10% on the plan price. A VPS I is €43.20 a year instead of €48. A VPS VI is €626.40 instead of €696.
  • The location fee is not discounted. It is billed at twelve times the monthly figure on an annual term. So a VPS I in Frankfurt for a year is €43.20 + €18.00 = €61.20, against €66.00 if you paid monthly.
  • Quarterly is three times the monthly price with no discount, on both components. It exists for people who want fewer invoices, not a cheaper rate.

Currency

We quote in euro and in Romanian leu. Romanian customers are billed in lei, and the location fees have their own lei price points rather than being converted at whatever the rate is on the day you check out. Whatever currency applies to your account, the order page shows the exact total, including any VAT that applies to you, before you confirm anything.

Growing a machine later

Two changes do not require rebuilding:

  • More disk. Extra storage is sold in 50 GB increments at €4 per month each, up to three increments — so up to 150 GB on top of the plan's disk.
  • A bigger shape. Upgrades between shapes are done from the client panel. Moving to a different country is the one thing that is not a button: you order in the new location, copy your data, then cancel the old machine. Hourly billing makes the overlap cheap.

How Noded Can Help

If price is what decides it, start in Bucharest — it is the base price in every table above, and it is a full EU location for data residency purposes. If your users are in DACH, Frankfurt and Vienna cost the same as each other, so pick on geography rather than price. If you are not sure, spend twenty cents: run a VPS I for an hour in two locations, measure from where your users actually are, and destroy the loser.

Pick a shape and a city on the hourly VPS page, or the streaming VPS page if you are delivering video. If you want a sanity check on sizing before you order, open a ticket — we would rather tell you a smaller plan is enough than sell you a bigger one.

FAQ

Which location is cheapest?

Romania, in every shape and on both hourly and monthly billing. It carries no location fee, so a VPS I is €4.00 a month or €0.0056 an hour there.

Why do Frankfurt and Vienna cost more than Warsaw and Amsterdam?

Because the capacity there costs us more. The fee is per month and per shape, it is shown on the order form before you pay, and it never changes silently after you order — the amount is snapshotted onto your service when you buy it.

Is the location fee charged on hourly machines?

Yes, spread across the hours: the monthly figure divided by 720. That is why a VPS I is €0.0056 an hour in Bucharest and €0.0077 in Vienna.

Can I move an existing VPS to a different country?

Not with a button. Order the new machine, migrate your data, cancel the old one. If you are on hourly billing the overlap costs a few cents per hour.

Do you charge for traffic?

No. None of the VPS plans have a monthly transfer allowance, so there is no overage line on your invoice.
